Well, maybe that's a stretch...but I am just not very good at it! I don't really feel like anything I have to say is very interesting. In fact, I'm pretty sure this whole thing got started on a dare! Go figure! :) Granted, this blog has served it's purpose and then some, and I am INCREDIBLY grateful for the opportunities it has brought me....but alas...I am still not the blog world's biggest fan! I like reading other people's, but mine....not so much!! So why you may ask am I even posting? Well, as much as I don't appreciate blogging, I also don't like being one of those people with an idle blog that just wastes space on the internet. So...for all those people who don't even read my blog......let's get our fix for the next 6 months shall we!

So....what have I been up to you may ask!

Well...I had some Louisiana family come and we took them to Yellowstone!

:) I really like this picture...even though my face looks kinda weird! Just as a little defense to my self...lately i had been getting a TON of calls from a number with some weird area code that started with 4...i never answered because i was at girls camp...then i would have my phone on vibrate...and i just never answered until i kind of figured that it was verizon trying to call me. so...now the calls had stopped....until last night...at 8 or 9 when i get another call from a weird number...with an area code that started with a 4....i didnt know if it was the same number...but i saw the 4 and assumed so. which confused me...because obviously verizon isnt open late on sunday nights....so i answer. and in response to a confused "hello?!" i get a rather legit sounding "Bueno!"........hmmm....now i am really confused....so i say hello again. and then they say...."Hows it going!"....sounding like they knew who i was.......so this freaks me out...and i quickly just hang up! now i am thinking i have some weirdo stalking me.... So i tell my mom and she just starts laughing and says "Oh it was probably just Dane!" and now everyone out there reading this that is related to me...understands. so fortunately dane decides its a good idea to call back on my moms phone this time...so that someone would actually answer. and of course...im sure he is thinking he is soo funny at this point....huh dane?! :) and how do i know this...well because britt and him decide it would be FUNNY to try it again....an hour later! but this time i am prepared...and he couldnt get me! ha! so...unsurprisingly...to prevent any future embarassment...i have a new contact in my phone! thanks dane for the entertainment!

Anyway...moving on!

I thought school shopping was a blast! my mom...not so much! but i did a good job and we got pretty much all of it done in ONE day....so my mom can be grateful that we didnt drag it on forever! We did good...and i was happy with what i got!...i should have pictures...but i dont....ill post some after the first day of school...which is in a week...scary!

Then came registration! i already had my schedule and it was PERFECT...so all i had to do was pay my fees...get my picture taken....and get a locker. my locker didnt end up being anywhere near any of my friends...but i had the spot picked out for a while....and it was on the way to all of my classes...where my friends lockers werent...but its ok....its not like you spend a ton of time at your locker anyway! then we went on to get pictures taken! im thinking this is going to be pretty painless....because my friends helped me pick out an outfit...ha ha...i was thinking all i had to do was sit there for a few seconds....smile while they photographer says weird things....and wait for my card to print. and that is pretty much what happened....but my mom was soo worried about getting a "natural smile" that she decided that it would be great if she stood behind the photographer and made weird faces and noises.......i felt like a four year old....and some of my friends where in the room when this was going on....but the picture turned out pretty good...and at least my mom liked what she got!
so this was a pictureless...to many words...boring post...but hey...its what you get!

HIGHSCHOOL IN A WEEK....scary...exciting....we'll see!Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-62978110968577050322009-07-09T21:30:00.000-07:002009-07-10T11:06:45.738-07:00NEW HAIR!!!!!!!SO!!! well, first off...my fourth of july was really low key, but fun! we went camping for a WEEK with my aunt and uncle...it was really good to have them there "] !!!! I definately wasn't the most excited to go, but i am REALLY glad that i went, and it was probably the most spiritual experience of my life. When we got to the visitor's center we watched a little video. in it President Hinkley said that martins cove was probably one of the most sacred places he had ever been in, and was one of the most sacred places on earth. If you think about all of the places he has been, that is a really huge thought to think that a patch of sagebrush between two hills, in the middle of wyoming could be the most sacred places on earth. When i saw that movie, I didn't really know if i would think that too, but now i definately know that martin's cove, the patch of sagebrush, is definately one of the holy-est places i have/will ever been. SO! this post has LOTS of pictures, but i really wanted all of them on here so you could see my experience! so here we go! Well, we had to be at the stake center at 4:30 AM!! it was crazy...so after only 4 hours of sleep we left at 5 oclock. We drove for about 2 hours, and got about 25 miles out side of soda springs when we pulled over into some random man's front yard because our bus was making a beeping noise. We found out that there was a problem with some water valve and ended up being stranded for 2 hours waiting for a part...lovely. so that put us 2 hours behind on our trip. and also our 10 oclock stop for breakfast behind....we were STARVING by the time we got to rock springs! So anyway we had some fun at this man's house

This is my family: from left
1:Pa:Floyd, Ma: Suzy, Cassidy
2: Andrea, Brekah, Amy , ME (i look yucky)
3:Brady, Tanner,Preston This is the man whose house we ended up at! ha ha! his neighbor called him and told him the Amish people were all in his front yard, so he had to come out and investigate. Ended up we were all just a bunch of crazy mormons dressed up as pioneers, and he ended up being mormon, so he understood....kinda

After another 3-5 hours we FINALLY ended up in rock springs for breakfast. The carts werent that hard to pull but as you can see we had a very wet trip, and went through alot of puddles. But the trail really wasnt mud, just wet sand, which was ALOT easier to go through than dry sand.

here we are on the womens pull, this picture is kinda small, im in the back, but it is alot harder than it looks. So the story of the sweetwater is that when the pioneers reached this river, they had already lost around 14 people to the crossing of the platte river, and it was 22degrees outside so they knew they couldnt survive another river crossing. but 4 young boys stepped foward (one was as young as 16) and carried everyone across the river in safety. The all consiquently died. We usually all cross the sweetwater, but the river was too high, so about 6 men carried some girls across..this shows you how high the river was...it was about waist height and was a pretty wide river...

after you cross the river there are 3 monuments showing the 4 men that risked their lives for their comany...this is in front of one of them...its our entire ward and leaders...our ward had 2 families total.

after we crossed the sweetwater we took our handcarts to handcart parking so we could eat lunch and go through the cove (w/o our handcarts) well when we got lunch we ended up with a huge, weird, hard, stale cracker, super tough jerky, dried apples that had been rehydrated, trail mix, fruit snacks, hard candy, and a drinkk....it was a very...interesting meal...but we didnt really want to complain...because we'd rather eat that than the 4 oz. of flour the pioneers were rationed....as you can see by the red haired boy towards the back right, we didnt really enjoy the cracker!

here we are walking towards the Dan Jones cove to have a fireside, before we walked up the hill into Martin's cove, we had a really nice fireside, and it really set the spirit for the upcoming hike!

here we are in the actual cove, it was a really really spiritual place, and i could definately feel the person whose name i had brought with me, in my presence. it was amazing!

we walked to the top of the cove and had another little mini devotional...this guy you cant really see him so great in this picture, but he reminded me of my Grandpa Hunter SOOO much! it ended up giving us a little hole in the bottom of our tent, and there was so much water under the tent from the storm that it flooded our side of the tent...the holes were right under my sleeping bag, so it got really really wet. fortunatley they had drying tents with cash cookers and things to dry them out, and our support couple had extra sleeping bags! but this is how much hail we got....

and this is what our camp looked like after it melted....it was pretty much a huge marsh!

oscar the dog!!

when we got to the visitors center on the first day they told us about this huge white dog that lives around here, he doesnt bite, wont eat human food, doesnt bark, and doesnt come to his name. "]Hey Hey Hey! I know its been a LONG time, but i have to write so much for school, that i dont really want to when i get home. So I've done alot since my birthday, but the most exciting was when i went to lagoon with the Orchestra! Now some of my closest friends are in the orchestra and to get to spend an entire with them was AWESOME! i got to do some of my favorite things, play violin, be with friends, and RIDE THEME PARK RIDES!!! yay! we played in festival and did AWESOME, but the judges gave us Silver, so i guess thats ok! BLAHHHHHH. IT is NOTTT fun at all. Although i didnt get sick at all, it was awful. The day i had them out was not too bad because they had this numbing stuff they put in the back of my throat. But the next day, especially friday was very very painful. Although i get to take meds that make me feel great, but the didn't really cut that much pain. The first day i ate about 10 popcicles, 2 bowls of ice cream, mashed potatoes, and whatever else. but now that i have been down for about 9 days i think that i am about sick of eating, colorless, startchy, textureless, boring, bland foods. i mean seriously, one person can only eat so many mashed potatoes, and scrambled eggs before going crazy. I have been really suprised of how long i have had to be out of school. i thought that i would be down for like a week, but i dont even think i will go to school this week. i didnt really start to feel that different until yesterday, and last night was one of the first nights i didnt have to wake up and take anything. But whatever its done now. so anyway! ya it just wasnt the funnest thing i have ever done, but it wasnt terrible! so anyways toodles!Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-89797258447823538362008-12-21T22:25:00.000-08:002008-12-21T22:40:21.567-08:00New Pic!Hey guys! well first off i hope that all of you had/have an awesome Christmas. so anyway for the longest time I have been trying to find a pose i like to do with my violin. well i finally found it. On friday i went to the Melaleuca Christmas party where they had Kurt Bestor and Jenny Oaks Baker performing. afterwards i got one of her music books that she signed for me. on the cover is this really awesome picture that i just loved. of course i could not replicate it exactly (i mean look what the photographer has to work with ha ha!) but i wanted to try. the only difference between hers and mine is, i am looking a diferent direction, i dont have ornaments hanging all over my dress, and i am in the SNOW! yep, i put a dress on and plopped in the snow! just like that, nothing underneath me, just snow! ha ha it wasn't that cold, accept my hands hurt pretty bad afterwards! o well! i really like that you can see the snow falling and that it is unique. it might look weird to everyone else, but i just wanted to try it out, and see. so anyway, i want to know what everyone else thinks, so leave me a comment, or answer the poll. (or both! ha ha) i just want to hear from yall! so incase you hadn't already seen it at the top of my blog...ha ha here is said picture....

All my family knows me! i like to pose, and find out cool new ways to make a picture look good! so if this is a complete flop! ha ha tell me! but anyway! SLAUGHTERS!!! YAY!! it is this big old spook ally in the old Fred Meyer's building!! HOLY COW IT IS IIINNNTTTEENNSSEE!! i went a couple weeks ago with some of my other awesome friends, but for some weird reason tonight was scarier. The guy with the knife in the bedroom followed us into the hall, and started scraping his knife against the wall. Making this big scrapy knife sound, of course!! and there was all kinds of things jumping out at you, and there was a ton of strobe lights that are SOOO disorienting! the weirdest thing was that kelli has the weirdest scream that sounded like the people jumping out at us, and she was about to make my arm fall off!! WOWSERS!!! so anyway, i think that i am cursed when it comes to the chain saw guy that chases you out, because last time i was there, i ran into the wall when he chased me, and this time i fell flat on my face!! LIKE FLAT DOWN!! HA HA!! my knee is all skinned up, but it was HILARIOUS!!! so ANYWAY!! it was a ton of fun!! FORTUNATELY THE STUPID BLUE MASKED GUY WASNT THERE!! If you want to know the whole story, ya gotta ask!! its a GOOD one!! YA, dr slaughters was REALLY scary and it was a great thing for halloween! DEFINATELY WORTH THE 8 DOLLARS!! i thought that it was weird that the second time i went was scarier, but it was!!! it definately felt a little shorter, even though i couldnt run due to the people in front of us, and the little puddle of kelli that wouldnt let go!!! ha ha! it was fun! Chuckie, lamo this time!! but i did see the hillbilly! he came out of a window hit an ax against the wall and getting close to us with it!! SCARYYYYY!!! yeppers, definately would recomend it! i loved getting to see my friendies i havent got to see in forever!! ya it is like really late right now, so this is pretty much a brain dump! the only people that will get this is the ones that have been through!! anyway!! i will stop wasting your time now and just say to all of my familia out there.......

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-40941149057157618812008-10-12T09:23:00.000-07:002008-10-12T09:26:03.490-07:00Handbags!i love handbags, sorta like shoes, and if i add this little blurby to my blog i get 25 more chances at a FREE ONE! so can you! all you have to do is go to this link!

http://www.handbagplanet.com/

add your first name so they can put it in your email, and your email address, pick the one you want and wait! they hand out one every hour! so ladies, if you add your own blurb to your blog you will get 25 new chances too! ha ha! so anyway just thought that you would want to know! have fun!Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-77242284418868013822008-10-11T18:39:00.000-07:002008-10-11T18:42:23.763-07:00AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!i am sooooo sick! i have had a KILLER migrane since thursday, and since friday i have been running a pretty good temperature. it was up to 102 but it went ALL THE WAY down to 101.5 today! woopty doo! i have wanted to DIE for the last two days i feel so rotten! 13 years is pretty long right! ;) i hope i get better because this is the real pits. so anyway just as a happy side note, IT SNOWED!! YAY! i am even more excited because it is for a GREAT cause!!!! My teaches Joe and Jacie Sites have this amazing program called Strings for Kids. i am sure that you all have heard of the discounted lunch program that gets low income kids free or discounted lunch. well it is the same thing. joe and jacie have brought hundreds of kids free violins and guitars and a school program. well they also offer the same kids discounted lessons in the shop. well, obviously they dont want to offer their studio space with popular teachers, so they give two students to the higher advanced people that are older that have the skills to teach. so any way i am excited about that because it will be for a GREAT cause! also, i am officially learning a new instrument!! THE GUITAR!! ha ha! i had my first group lesson today! it took me a second but then i really understood it!!! it is really fun, i am using a strings for kids instrument right now (they give them free instruments too), and i am hoping i can find somebody's to borrow! anyway, school also started....bummer. it is okayish. i am 100% possitive that my math teacher is a hippee. no doubt in my mind! he he! o well he is good though! anyway hope ya'll have a GREAT day, and remember to SMILE!!!! :)Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-56010985353251514032008-08-06T14:08:00.000-07:002008-08-06T14:18:28.636-07:00MRISo today i was privaleged with getting to do yet ANOTHER MRI. as many of you know i had to get one when i was 10 due to a disease in my leg. and as many of you also know, i have been having back problems all summer. so my doctor decided i need a scan to make sure it was connected to my leg. so i had to lay on a table similar to this one and then you get put inside this little tiny tube. just to help the image along, you can see the outside that is flat with the 3 gray marks, then it slopes down to the angled part, then it slopes again into the enclosed tube. well my head was right underneath where it becomes the enclosed tube. so they did a lumbar scan (lower back) for 25 minutes, a pelvic scan for 25 minutes, then they had to give me an injection of dye and do another scan for 10 minutes. so that whole time (which ended up being a litte over an hour) i had to HOLD STILL! no moving!!! AAAAAAAH! it was really hard! and they way an MRI works is by a bunch of magnets banging together to make loud knocks and sounds! it is soooooooo lound! oh well i survived! so the scan came back clear and there is nothing wrong with my lymph glands (which were screwed up with my leg), spine, kidneys, or nerves! so now i will try to make any inflamation go down with ibuprofen, or have to do physical therapy! fun fun! so any way! coming up in kendee's medical future....possible thyroid medications, and a tonsil removal! now that i have bored you with all of this crumb....toodles!

Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-76419254130991855362008-07-06T15:56:00.000-07:002008-07-06T16:03:11.389-07:00BUMMER!Okay, i know you all are sick and tired of hearing about my student but I PROMISE that this will be the last one about her. Why can i promise so asuredly (sp???? ha ha!)??? because she QUIT!!! Yes, after a single MONTH of playing she QUIT! Her mother paid over $100 to get the equipment necisary to start, and after only a MONTH she threw it all out the window!! I am sure that those of you who now Ms. Isabella (not lazalde!) can understand alot of this. she said that she was quitting because it didnt "fit her" and that it wasn't "for her!" Well so anyway i thought yall would want to know this!!! so now i desperately want another student...DESPERATELY!!! I love it! So there goes my extra summer job out the window, that means im stuck scrubbing toilets and floors at a dental office for a living! BUMMER!!!!! if any of you know of anyone who needs a violin teacher, i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be their teacher!Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-4429058643307187902008-07-01T16:02:00.000-07:002008-07-01T16:16:29.664-07:00BREAKING NEWS!!!I am SURE that all of you guys could care less, but this is HUGE news!!!! As i am sure you can all imagine the repulsive sound of a new, squeaky violin student. I was one once too! But, as if there wasnt anything worse than the sound of a violinist playing on their bridge by accident, making a high pitched, scrachy, squeak, or the lovely honor of your student wanting to be just like you and pushing the bow down as hard as they can, making any starting note sound grinding and nauseating, nothing is as bad as those blasted twinkles!!! the very first song a young musician learns is twinkle little star, which is horrible enough, but along with the theme, there is 5 (yes 5) variations! so for the entire month of june i was privlaged to teach the repulsive string of repetitive variations. dont get me wrong, i LOVE teaching and want VERY badly to have MANY more studesnts, but the twinkles i just cant say the are enjoyable! But back to my point! yesterday we GOT TO PASS OFF THE TWINKLES!!! it was SOOOOO worth the popcicle i gave the girl!!! YAY!! we are making much progress, and she seems to be extremely talented!!!!!!!!! so now that you have wasted time reading this pointless blog entry about extremely important violin milestones, i am sure that you are thinking, "wow does she even have a life outside of violin, her last 3 post have all been about fiddle and such." i can comfirm that i do have a life, as lame as it may be, and i do not only think about violin!Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-40073942927727220992008-06-14T10:39:00.000-07:002008-06-14T10:45:52.217-07:00Fiddle ContestSo yesterday i was in a contest, right here in idaho falls, called fiddlin on the falls! i was initially planning on being in the Junior (13-18) Novice division. (which is for people who have never been in this division before), but my teacher decided that should be moved to Junior Standard!!! SCARY!!!!! so after the judges threw our division a few curveballs, it was FINALLY over! I got to the Colonial Auditorium (thats where it was) at 9:00 and it didnt get over until 10:05!!!! So i guess you all are wondering how i did. well i before yesterday i had never gotten anything above fourth place, and had never won money. well, yesterday i got THIRD PLACE!!!! I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!! I got $100 and a large, heavy, trophy!!!! It was fabulous! i know that third doesnt sound that fabulous, but i am SO excited! i am very proud of myself!!!!! YAY!!! so anyway, just a little insite on my weekend.Kendeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02902604589070637663noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2961058187228414009.post-37004921712487840722008-06-11T08:57:00.000-07:002008-06-11T09:02:14.309-07:00TeachingOkay its official...

I AM OFFICIALLY A TEACHER!!! i have 1 viloin student! It is only the COOLEST thing EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the reason that this is only my new favorite thing is because of my amazing smartness! As we ALL know I am definately not the brightest lightbulb in the tanning bed! So, my friend (Hector) decided it would be real funny to call me Short Bus. He mentioned that he was going to call me this, but it took a while before he actually did. Well the first time he said, "SHORT BUS, come here!" I imediately answered! So this picture is the coolest because it very muchly depicts ME!!!! Love this picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!
