BUMMER!

Okay, i know you all are sick and tired of hearing about my student but I PROMISE that this will be the last one about her. Why can i promise so asuredly (sp???? ha ha!)??? because she QUIT!!! Yes, after a single MONTH of playing she QUIT! Her mother paid over $100 to get the equipment necisary to start, and after only a MONTH she threw it all out the window!! I am sure that those of you who now Ms. Isabella (not lazalde!) can understand alot of this. she said that she was quitting because it didnt "fit her" and that it wasn't "for her!" Well so anyway i thought yall would want to know this!!! so now i desperately want another student...DESPERATELY!!! I love it! So there goes my extra summer job out the window, that means im stuck scrubbing toilets and floors at a dental office for a living! BUMMER!!!!! if any of you know of anyone who needs a violin teacher, i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be their teacher!

BREAKING NEWS!!!

I am SURE that all of you guys could care less, but this is HUGE news!!!! As i am sure you can all imagine the repulsive sound of a new, squeaky violin student. I was one once too! But, as if there wasnt anything worse than the sound of a violinist playing on their bridge by accident, making a high pitched, scrachy, squeak, or the lovely honor of your student wanting to be just like you and pushing the bow down as hard as they can, making any starting note sound grinding and nauseating, nothing is as bad as those blasted twinkles!!! the very first song a young musician learns is twinkle little star, which is horrible enough, but along with the theme, there is 5 (yes 5) variations! so for the entire month of june i was privlaged to teach the repulsive string of repetitive variations. dont get me wrong, i LOVE teaching and want VERY badly to have MANY more studesnts, but the twinkles i just cant say the are enjoyable! But back to my point! yesterday we GOT TO PASS OFF THE TWINKLES!!! it was SOOOOO worth the popcicle i gave the girl!!! YAY!! we are making much progress, and she seems to be extremely talented!!!!!!!!! so now that you have wasted time reading this pointless blog entry about extremely important violin milestones, i am sure that you are thinking, "wow does she even have a life outside of violin, her last 3 post have all been about fiddle and such." i can comfirm that i do have a life, as lame as it may be, and i do not only think about violin!

Fiddle Contest

So yesterday i was in a contest, right here in idaho falls, called fiddlin on the falls! i was initially planning on being in the Junior (13-18) Novice division. (which is for people who have never been in this division before), but my teacher decided that should be moved to Junior Standard!!! SCARY!!!!! so after the judges threw our division a few curveballs, it was FINALLY over! I got to the Colonial Auditorium (thats where it was) at 9:00 and it didnt get over until 10:05!!!! So i guess you all are wondering how i did. well i before yesterday i had never gotten anything above fourth place, and had never won money. well, yesterday i got THIRD PLACE!!!! I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!! I got $100 and a large, heavy, trophy!!!! It was fabulous! i know that third doesnt sound that fabulous, but i am SO excited! i am very proud of myself!!!!! YAY!!! so anyway, just a little insite on my weekend.

Teaching

Okay its official...


I AM OFFICIALLY A TEACHER!!! i have 1 viloin student! YAY!!!! We are about to have our second lesson in an hour! it is really fun and rewarding! She is about 10 years old and is doing great! granted i will be estatic to get over the dreaded TWINKLES! but, it is great and i love it! and you can even call me official because i have been PAID for the month of june! i love the extra $40 a month!!!!!!!! so i have a summer job that lasts until october and then she will probably continue! so ya i love it and i am excited! o and as a side note...i have a fiddle contest on friday and i am REALLY scared!!!!! so anyway wish me luck!!!!

SHORT BUS!!!!

Well this morning I was looking at somebody's facebook page, and and saw this! It is only the COOLEST thing EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the reason that this is only my new favorite thing is because of my amazing smartness! As we ALL know I am definately not the brightest lightbulb in the tanning bed! So, my friend (Hector) decided it would be real funny to call me Short Bus. He mentioned that he was going to call me this, but it took a while before he actually did. Well the first time he said, "SHORT BUS, come here!" I imediately answered! So this picture is the coolest because it very muchly depicts ME!!!! Love this picture!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know i am special!!!

DISNEYLAND!!!!!!

Okay so here is finally some proof of you trip to disneyland!!!! it was WAY WAY fun! My cousin Megan and her baby Breck came with us to disneyland which TOTALLY made it 30x funner! my favorite ride was screamin, and space mountain, and most all of the other ones!!!!
so here is some pictures so some people will stop bugging me about it (HECTOR!)

So this picture is my mom and i on the buzz lightyear astro blaster things! i look like i have some mental disorder, when really all i am trying to do is shoot the little Zs on the wall!


This is me at Seaworld petting a stingray! they felt really awesome! BTW i am the frizzy-haired one with the blue and brown shirt on! I looked great all during our trip!

I think that it looks like something out of candyland. It was super beautiful, the picture doesn't do it justice.

This here is us at the rainforest cafe! i look really great right here, once again! i am also really sunburned but you cant tell! my mom thinks her hair looked crumby but we were on vacation, o well!

And this is not me or my parents! this is megan, her son breck, and her husband tom! this is totally the coolest picture EVER!!! i just had to put it on here, because it displays how much fun we really did have!

this is my dad on one of our favorite rides, THE MALIBOOMER! i wasnt on it at this time, but it was a way cool ride. this is how it goes. it shoots you 180 feet into the air in like a second or so, then back down half way, then back up, then down, and you get off, barely able to walk in a strait line! it was way fun! i also like the barf-gaurds in front of you. (the plastic shields!) so ya that was fun!

this picture is sideways, but it is my mom and i about to go watch this show called, "Its tough to be a bug," that is 3-D! it was way cute, but they made us wear this lovely little glasses! cute, i know! and so this is the foyer out side the theater with a bunch of buggy movie brouchures! this was my favorite, so we had to get a picture with it. So behold in all its glory, the DUNG and I!!

so ya we totally had the funnest time ever! it was great but i am glad to be back in idaho! even if we got snow last week! it was like 95 degrees in Cali! tooooo hot for me! it was way fun to see our family and to go to disneyland! so ya now you can see the pictures and stuff about our trip!
