Have you ever thought of Gesthemane,
And wondered, did He see me?
Did He bleed a drop, and think it's mine,
Or when the nails were pound in, was I on His mind?
Was it just a sea of wide faces,
Did He really live, was he at those places?
Did He raise the dead, or heal the blind,
When the nails were pound in, was I on His mind?
Is He always with me, always around,
Even though I've never heard him eek a sound?
Will I ever see Him, will His heavenly hosts I find,
When the nails were pound in, was I on His mind?
Yes! He was here and He will speak,
"Well done my good and faithful servant," would be the peak;
To a vigorous test, He paid the price, He broke death's evil bind,
And when the nails were pound in, yes, I was on His mind.
